$6500 is a lot of money, but remember, we are talking about a $50,000 pool here that had some serious erosion problems..As you can see, this is an amazing transformation of this pool. Sadly, the homeowners were very disappointed that their flagstone coping and accents on the hot-tub had been badly falling apart before their eyes. They tried different types of sealant before calling us, and things got so bad that a piece of flagstone coping over the skimmer actually broke in half like a weak bridge…causing the homeowner to fall in the pool while cleaning it in January. You might be laughing at the thought..but they did not think it was funny at all..for many reasons. A blackberry or I-phone can easily be replaced..but pool coping and tile is a major undertaking.
As you can see, this project started with a complete demo of all the old flagstone and was then followed by draining the pool, changing the coping to “polished scabos travertine tile” some of the toughest yet most beautiful natural stone products on the market. At the last minute both the homeowner and our onsite supervisor decided the cute compass turtle table needed a renovation to tie in the old and the new. As you can see, it really made a big difference to change the table.
The Pool Scrubbers LLC acted as the general contractor to oversee the entire project, and as you can tell..the results were amazing. Despite a few weather and scheduling delays..the project was completed within 10 days, and the homeowners are very happy. We had a salt water pool with flagstone for years and watched the flagstone deteriorate over time. There were chunks of flagstone breaking off into the pool causing safety problems and filtration problems. The flagstone also stain the bottom of the pool over time. It was a big mess!
Matt, with the Pool Scrubbers, came out to look at our pool and give us a bid for the job we were wanting done- to remove all flagstone around our pool and hot tub and replace it with a sturdy travertine. He gave us a reasonable bid for the job with a guarantee for 2 years of their work. We also had the travertine sealed and the tile on the table in the pool matched up and replaced. Matt’s team did a great job and our pool turned out beautiful! We continue to have Pool Scrubbers maintain the cleaning of our pool weekly and would highly recommend this family-owned business to anyone I know.
